I remember when my daughter was growing up I was always concerned that she seemed to be developing faster than I remember girls her age in my growing days did. I remember at 10 years old girls looked like just that, girls. When she turned 10 I noticed that she started to develop in my eyes beyond her age. We were so concerned we took her to an endocrinologist. According these doctors there was nothing wrong. All her hormonal levels checked out just fine.
Inasmuch as that is likely true, I know our milk and meat supply is infested with animals that receive both antibiotics and growth hormones. It is hard for me to believe that this does not enter the food supply and have adverse effects on children in their growing years. If the hormones enhance the growth of our meat animals and also enhance production of milk, is it a far stretch to believe that it is having an adverse effect on my child. I do not think so.
Now more than ever I believe my baby products should have been organic products devoid of all that could potentially have a side effect on my kid. Well its too late now. That said I work out a lot so my Protein bar is organic.
