When Republicans were in power, they were preaching up or down votes. Now that they are not in power, they are blocking legislation at every turn. No other senate have blocked as much in the history of the filibuster.

Republican Representative Paul Ryan wants to kill Medicare for anyone younger than 55 years old. While Republicans accused Democrats of removing 500 Billion dollars from Medicare through efficiency and removing private insurance involvement. It is ironic that the Republicans are advocating killing the program altogether.
